If you look closely at the Shy Guy he apears to be carrying a donut in a bowl. Ignoring the obvious question of why would anyone put a donut in a bowl, we now have confirmation of Food in Brawl. We probably already expected it but I thought you'd like to know.

Why are Mario, Peach, and Bowser so spread apart in the select screen. Sakurai is getting all sloppy.

look at the forth pic, mario's punch is different, it cant be mario doing a forward air smash and landing it, cuz when he does his Foward air smash his arm is bent.

That's just Mario's Jab animation. Everytime he does his jab, his fists enlarge at the end of it.

it cant be, the picture clear show a blue sparkle effect, only smash moves does that. And if that his forward smash, then what about this:

Go on melee and pause as you're jabbing. It does almost the same glow, and he's left in the exact same pose with an enlarged fist.

i see 4 differences:
1.) the brawl pic, the hand that is not punching is too low, in melee it was above his shoulder
2.)In melee, his first punch is more of a hookpunch and and his fist is sideways while the brawl picture is not
3.) no sparkle in the jabbing in the melee
4.) his does not lean forward that much when the doing the jabbing, while the brawl picture his knee is touching his stomach

There was a food trophy in the trophy update I thought. And Food has kind of been confirmed from the peanuts anyways. =p lol

Have you checked out if it could be his second jab though?

2nd jab in melee, his body is facing foward and he is standing up straight, no leaning and his fist does not enlarge.
look at the the video of sonic in smashdojo, for a second or so, it show mario doing his 2nd jab, no enlargement, no leaning, it looks almost like his jab in melee

I still can't decide where I stand on the Lucas/Ness situation. That pick looks like a bair with similar properties to Ness. But, in the trailer, he had a similar hexagon attack above his head. Looked like an usmash. BTW, listen for his voice when he does it. It's extremely high-pitched.

That's probably his wake up attack animation. He does swings his fist backwards then forwards in one motion. It ends in a similar position.

If i'm wrong, the custion characters theory has shed some light.

belay that theory, i have discover that punch is indeed mario 2nd jab. For evidence, look the new sonic demonstration video on dojo, after that scene that say Sonic the Hedgehog Joins the fight, right when they show sonic rolling attack at mario back, for like a fraction of second, maybe nano of a second, it show mario first and 2nd jab, and the 2nd jab looks alot like jab in the 1st page. So I conclude that punch is in fact mario 2nd jab. But what puzzles me is that why does picture in the front page show his first sparkling while in the video its not

The on in Japan, obviously. It's a demo. There are some thing they want to keep secret. They might've not have developed Kirby's B attack completely.

Yup, no Kirby. Also, there's only room there for 24 characters. Back when the release date was supposed to be Spring '07, Sakurai was saying he hoped he could get 40 characters... now, I think that 40 characters is guaranteed. That's just a demo screen.
