When Mario Kart Wii launches, there will be a new Wii Channel dedicated for it. This channel will make use of WiiConnect24 to always update you with the best times on every course. So even if you're asleep, the newest times will be downloaded on the Mario Kart Wii channel. This way, there'll competion all around the world.
There'll be 12 players online, not 16 as some sites have written.
