New Advance Tech: Pit's Wing Cancel (repost) DEBUNKED!

Pit is the new Peach, lol.

While screwing around trying to find new ATs yesterday night at my friend Justin's house(brawl owener), we found something very spammable for Pit.

We called it the Wing Cancel because it's very similar looking to Peach's FloatCancel:

Jump, and as soon as you leave the ground(like a wavedash): UpB, Then quickly do any aerial and fastfall.

What will end up happening is that Pit will shoot just slightly into the air and the aerial will cancel out the UpB in a way that you could literally "Wing Cancel"

It's hot.


On another note:

Rob could "Wing cancel" in a way too with his UpB but it's slower. More like a faster SHFFL for him.

The original thread has a lot of requests for a vid. Could someone test this?

This isn't new, and it's useless.

I've played around with it extensively, and it's not faster then a short hop, and basically guarantees you'll get the full landing lag from the aerial.

I rather use Glideshifting instead. Arrow Looping is also good in certain situations. I use these and other techniques in my battles, but not often.

I don't think Pit is going to have an extensive metagame, and if he does, it is going to take more time than some of the other charachters to develop it.

I wouldn't use any move that required you to give up your Up B. Think, what if you used it and got hit out of it off the stage? Nothing. You don't get to think, just die.

Yea I posted that like a few days after I got my JP version of the game. It sucks hardcore now.

Its seriously crap, and sometimes if done wrong the aerial won't even come out and you'll still receive 100% of the landing lag. Literally crap'tastic.
