Smash 3DS New 3DS C-Stick Problems

So I've recently gotten a New 3DS (which I shall forever see as a terrible name) and I have been messing around with it, testing out the new features; the C-Stick in particular. In Smash 3DS I've noticed that the C-Stick can be VERY difficult to use for me at last. The down smash with it is very bad; it only charges up for just under a second then releases without me even moving my thumb. the up smash and left smash seem to work just fine, with the right smash being not so great but nowhere near as bad as the down smash. I have to either push it downwards with my nail from the top of the nub to get a good charge barehanded or wear a latex glove which works almost perfectly. I understand that it may be sweat but I was wondering if there's any reason that my C-Stick has more noticeable problems when moving downwards than in any other direction and if anyone else has been having this problem and what they do about it. I've also used it for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate's demo for the camera movements and the downwards motion of the C-Stick has problems there too like just stopping when the camera moves halfway when pressed down. I don't want to always wear a glove when using it. (Sorry if I'm making this thread incorrectly or in the wrong place, I've never done this before :p)

You should probably decide sooner rather than later if it's the C-stick that has a problem or you're just having problems adjusting to it. It's quite small, so using it can be tricky, but if it's busted you'll want to take it back sooner rather than later to get it refunded/fixed/changed. You shouldn't need to carry a latex glove around with you just to use the stick.

I might do that but I've already performed a system transfer and there's a cooldown of seven days before I can move all my stuff back to my old XL. The C-Stick isn't terrible for camera controls but I think getting a new one may be the best option. Thanks for answering! :)

At first i really hated the c-stick, but after having more time to play Smash on the New 3ds i love it. It works really well to execute smash attacks fast and easy

For smash I honestly hate the c-stick, it is so hard to use cause I always feel like my hand slips off or I input the wrong smash attack, I just use the traditional way of smash attacks instead
The C-Stick is a mouse basically, so it is very good for cameras than compared to a joystick stick. But Smash attacks are easier to perform using a joystick, so teh C-stick is not optimized for Smash. I feel the new C-stick is amazing compared to the tradition Dual stick set up where you generally need some sort of aim assist because of the joysticks lack of precision for cameras, but it is not optimized for this particular function.

Unless Nintendo changed their stance on this from the time I read about it, you can not perform a system transfer from original 3ds to new 3ds.

I am having the same problems. Unless I literally place my finger on the very top of the stick and press downwards it won't charge a down-smash at all. Up-Smash and F-Smash are fine and easy to perform. Down-smash and down-aerial (doesn't get registered sometimes) on the other hand are just impossible to do correctly.

Meh I didnt expect it to work great. I dont use cstick for Smash attacks anyway, I use it for tilts. Better aerial mobility that way anyway

You can transfer between the two

Well since I am using the Wii U Pro I've really gotten used to using the C-Stick for everything but neutrals and Forward Tilts.

I don't know i've been having a pretty good time with my c-stick. It works great for both Majoras Mask and Smash for me.
