Okay. I went to Gamestop to get some money for my 360. I was planning on just getting like 60-70 dollars to buy a new game. I brought:

PS2 Slim
Super Monkey Ball 2
Animal Crossing WW
Star Fox command
Metroid Prime Hunters
FFX
Excite Truck
Metroid Prime 3

Did I get 60? No. 70? No. 80? Not at all.

I got 179 dollars.

I also got a 12 month game informer subscription for 3 dollars.

Just trying to help some people out with cash. If you don't play it, trade it. That's my motto.

Probably because PS2s are still selling well, DS sales are amazing and so is the software, and MP3 is pretty new.

I normally keep all of my games in case I ever want to go back, but if I was smart, I would trade them in, because I normally don't touch them again after the first or second playthrough.

NEVER sell to Gamestop. You could have gotten a lot more with Ebay.

I agree, gamestop doesn't really pay much, but they will jack up the prices for margin.

they make more money on their used games than they do their new ones.

They make money on used games - Period. All used items are pure profit for them. So what you sold for $180, they will make over $300 for whereas new games they pay a lot higher for and get little to no profit.

Gamestop trade ins is one of the biggest rip-offs in the gaming industry, I can't imagine ever wanting to sell them anything. Then again, I've been able to bring myself to trade in any games, no matter how ****ty (I'm looking at you, Red Steel). You could call me obsessive, but I'd prefer the term "collector."

The only problem with GameStop trading is you have to be 18 to trade in. I still find things to be underpriced for trade-in.
