Netplay simply won't work for me.

I don't know what's wrong.

• I'm on a Mac
• Memory cards have "Nothing" in both slots
• I'm using Dolphin 4.0-7840
• Gecko Netplay Community Code is on
• Cheat Manager has Codes enabled
• I deleted and reinstalled Dolphin from the Netplay guide several times, even clearing the folder that has its settings saved
• I installed a new dump of the game
• I do not have any other codes on
• I do not have 20XX
• All the other settings are default

Yet every time I start a match, it always desyncs at the character select screen. Every time! I've given up. I have no idea what's wrong. I HAVE successfully had a set with a person in the past, and several other really laggy games with other people. But now it just won't work at all, and I have no clue why.

Assuming you followed the guide, you have to get a certain upgrade to Microsoft Visual something that comes in a redistributable. That might be a good place to start. Other than that, you only need 1 code, not codes plural, and it's a gecko code for Netplay community settings.

Yeah, it was just a typo.

What is this Microsoft Visual thing you're talking about? Can it be run on a Mac?

That wouldn't cause desyncs. Can you verify the md5 checksum of the iso in Dolphin? (properties->info->compute)

OK, here are some clues: it desyncs EVERY TIME I start the game. Right away. I don't know why. I've taken screenshots of every setting I have.
