netplay question

Does netplay mess up your tech timing bad enough to discourage you from playing?

2-3 frames of lag is gonna magically make you terrible at the game, although a lot of people make it sound that way. A bit of buffer isn't an excuse to flub tech skill, tech only becomes hard when there is inconsistent fps. If you're really concerned about your play, just practice on a crt the day before your tournament and you'll do fine.

with the build of dolphin people are currently using on smashladder, 4.0-652, frames are inconsistent 80%-90% of the time, and it's really discouraging to play on netplay, but it at least really encourages playing offline. You'd be surprised how bad people are when they've never adjusted themselves to the input lag before, like on high-lag TVs or etc. Some of us get it bad enough from our computer monitors, let alone the buffer.
