Netplay Help

I have been having troubles connecting to other people through netplay. It will occasionally work, but 90% of the time it wont. I also cant host using the ids and have to use my ip, which i dont want to do since its very unsafe. Please help!

Try making a firewall exception but if that doesn't work I don't think there's much you can do. Unfortunately some routers just don't like dolphins method of udp port breaking and won't allow it on most occasions. Port forwarding is your best choice, what safety concerns are you having? Hosting with your ip for Dolphin shouldn't scare you.

its kinda weird giving out your ip to someone you dont know :/

I'm sure you've had things sent to you in the mail before right?
you've given your street address to people you don't know?
