This guide is for using the Netplay option in the Dolphin emulator to run Project M.

If you need help setting up Project M on Dolphin I suggest you use this #mce_temp_url# guide. There is also a video showing how to do this here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SP03UBBcqvw

Make sure you get the version of Dolphin and Project M below though.

What you will need:

1. Dolphin emulator with the gecko fix, this will allow you to automatically run project M by selecting Brawl from the list for netplay hosting. The easiest way to get the newest version of this is to go to this webpage.
#mce_temp_url#
Push Ctrl-F and a search box will appear, type in "gecko-fix" and it will search the page for that string of text.
Download one that has x64 for a 64 bit OS or x86 for a 32 bit OS, make sure you and anyone you are playing with have the same one though.

2. Project M "homebrew option ZIP (WiFi-safe)" http://projectmgame.com/en/download

After you have project M running by following the guide above we need to get it so that Project M automaticly runs by starting brawl.

1.) Go to this webpage #mce_temp_url# and click the copy text to clipboard button and push Ctrl+C

2.) In Dolphin Right click Brawl then Click Properties-Gecko Codes-Edit Config and then paste the code. So it looks like this.

Make sure to go all the way to the bottom of the file and add a blank line at the end of the file, then click save.
Be sure that a checked checkbox showed up that says Project M in the Gecko codes tab.

3.) In Dolphin click Config and check the "Enable Cheats" checkbox.

You should now be able to open just the brawl ISO and it will automaticly load Project M.

4.) Click Config then the Gamecube tab, and for each player you will need to select standard controller

Netplay should work now if the host has opened the port they will be using

http://portforward.com/ This website can help you do that if you don't know how, there are also many guides on youtube showing how to portforward.

The address that other players will need to connect to is your IP, you can type in "what is my ip" into google and it will tell you.

Let me know if this works for you.

Edit

I tried netplay with someone at around 90 ping, and it was so laggy it was unplayable. Looks like netplay will have to wait for Project M until some thing is done.
