Ness's fate, what does it spell out for the rest of them?

I honestly believe that Captain Falcon and Luigi will make it into the game. Luigi has different mechanics than Mario, and with a few adjustments can be a totally different player. Captain Falcon has his own original move-set, and sakurai would have no reason to delete him. Honestly, I would not be shocked if Jigglypuff was cancelled, but he does have his own move-set, he just could be replaced by a much more macho pokemon.


What do you guys feel about the fate of our 3 friends from SSB64? And for the rest?

If the rumors are correct, Jiggs won't be in since Pit is already confirmed. and quite frankly, Ness deconfirmation doesn't spell anything for the rest of them, since, unlike Ness, they don't have replacements.

im actually glad ness is out and lucas is in....im really didnt grow fond of ness and i couldnt get his moves into combos

I think the original 4 will still be in. They will be hidden at first due to story-line, then become available after you progress through the storyline. I call those "the easy" unlockables.

How kick a$$ would it be if everyone was like " Ohh ness isnt in", then at the last moment, Lucas is in trouble, and Ness comes to tag-team a MOTHER 3 Boss.

Pit was supposed to be in 64 but because of the game mechanics and rushing they put Jiggly in instead. Now that pit is in people think that the might deconfirm Jiggles but I think that is irrelevant.

Wait, Pit was supposed to be in N64? So why didn't they add him in melee? And if so, Why was JigglyPuff, a "thrown in" character also still put into melee?

There is no correlation whatsoever, that's what it spells out, actually.

I'll give you the consensus of most people here:
- Captain Falcon is in because of the F-Zero logo and the next best choice, Samurai Goroh is an AT.
- Luigi has had his confirmation "let slip" by Charles Martinet, his voice actor, and an elderly Nintendo representative at E for All. Considering he's alongside Mario most of the time, this will stay true.
- You can't really say anything proving Jigglypuff one way or another. True, there is the SSB64 link with Pit, but that is a RUMOR at best and doesn't really say much for the Puff's Brawl chances.
