I know in my soul that if I play ness right I can pretty much elimate peach's air game and my bat > her dsmash. So, anyone who is experienced in this match up, tell me how to whoop up on some peach plz. what is the best approach, what's the safest way to return to the level, how do I edge gaurd best, what are some good tactics for using the djcbair?

tell me things, I'm not a ness player, but I've chosen him to counter peach, please help.

use fair to beat her when shes in the air. I like to use full jumps a lot and down air after then try to downsmash. then just juggle them. Pk thunder works pretty well too if they are above you.

her floatiness is very vulnerable to PK thunder. otherwise, look in the character matchups thread of my super guide. SUPER GUIDE, TO THE RESCUE!!!

peach's turnips tend to be a problem, even for experienced ness players(at least from what ive seen). I can't really help you counter them, as i have'nt figured out a way to do so myself. i recommend counterpicking a small stage. Also, if she's recovering with her float, your pk thunder can knock her out of it and force her to double jumb and/or sweetspot the parasol.

sweet, what should be my finishing move most of the time. I assume it'll be a bair. are there any fancy tricks or techniques I should learn that may help me plant my foversized electrical eet in her face?

any combo's that could work would also be appreciated.

Bad idea, pick a bigger stage instead. A smaller stage makes it easier for Peach to apply pressure on Ness with turnips since he's going to have less room to maneuver around them. If you're playing in a big level, you can just run away and you have time to watch your opponent's patterns.

If she rushes at you with Float cancelled aerials, do not just stand there and try to block them, cause she can use followups to pressure your shield, and you won't be able to do a thing about it. Run away/camping and landing counter hits against her aerials are key elements against Peach... you really need to come from the right angle with your Fair/Nair though, cause she can float away/WD back to space herself and **** you.

EDIT: I do not play Ness but I play peach so...

lol u must question the common observations about matchups^_^
such as "Never use dtilt on Peach....you will eat her dsmash for it!"

Will you eat it? Or will you bait it?

dtilt 2-3 times then shorthop dair....did peach take the bait, do a dsmash and put make herself completely vulnerable to your dair? feel free to apply this method to any character matchup anywhere....hehehe especially if you play as Zelda...the name of her game is bait&switch, but if you were me you'd know you shouldnt be talking about how to play Zelda^_^ I hope you enjoyed my banter^_^

I used to kick around the best peach in finland with Ness... until she started shield spamming.

this matchup isn´t nearly as annoying as a good fox... I get 3 stocked by the best finnish fox :/

Luckily I have other chars for tournies, but Ness is still great for low tier tourneys, no real counters there! :)

ness is a tech/tricksy character. is anybody proficient at or even amazingly dexterous when grabbing nme's thrown items i.e. turnips? powershielding back at the peach suckafoos?? what about tech-hitting turnips [from afar] with djc'd nairs/uairs/bairs? peaches are strategists too, they'll be employing simna's aforebantered baitandswitch...

bigger stages against peach, but the peaches i play are soooo mean when i try to recover, lit. stealing my thunder. 9_9

you can catch her turnips by pressing z during an airdodge.

A defensive Ness is really helpful in this fight. I played wife and even though it was my first tourney, I played a defensive Ness and managed to get him down to two stocks. I actually got the first kill with like 34% damage on me or something...

He was playing a turnip spamming peach, I counter with powershielding. Turnips are pretty easy to powershield. The other stock I took off him was because he had so much damage.

Note that he managed to adapt pretty quickly and since his technical skill was greater than mine he easily defeated me. At the last tourney I went to I did pretty badly against other top tiers, esp. sheik, and chinesah or chainsaws Roy pretty much ***** me so this doesn't make me a good Ness player. It's just that my other good mains (jigglypuff and peach) vs. a peach are bad matchups.

Sorry I mixed up doll with wife, but doll is still a really good peach. Unforetunately I got 3 stocked by him twice.

Never counterpick corneria. Peach can destroy the guns really quickly with two d-smashes and float back to the top of the stage. Peach is definetly Ness' worst matchup.

maybe not the worst, because ness has so much range, i think that's Ness's biggest pro, being able to out-range most other attacks with his fair, cause that is the attack the leads into the most options. Peach atually doesnt have much range outside her dsmash and veggies, and yo can push the veggies back with a nicely timed DjC fair.
