the fmt=6 tag gives you 30FPS and higher bitrate so it will look better but the audio is not as good as fmt=18 which is 24FPS

Really? Can you please link me to a higher quality youtube vid. I am in the process of trying to figure out the best method for capturing vids at the highest quality. I have the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1800 MC-Kit http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_hvr1800.html - Retails $150 which is what I used in conjunction w/ AMCap. I also have the Adaptec GameBridge AVC-1510 which I have used to capture in the past.
If I'm not doing something right please tell me.
