Ness is likely to be in brawl

So, my job sent me to a media training for the holidays that went on in Anaheim from the 24th through the 27th. Trips like this are the ones where vendors from all of the big CD, DVD, gaming companies have booths and show off their new products so we get hype about them. Little did I know, but I was about to get hooked up beyond belief.

When I check in to the hotel, I get an envelope with $100 cash, a stack of 10 CD's and DVD's, and a ticket for a free copy of Halo 3 which they gave us at 7:30 PM monday night. I then walk into the convention and my jaw hits the ****ing floor. I played all of these titles:

-Rock Band (gdlk)
-Unreal Tournament 3 (Very reminiscent of the OG UT)
-Mario and Sonic Olympics (Luigi/Shadow> All)
-Call of Duty 4 (My eyes! The graphics were so beautiful!)
-Guitar Hero 3 (Great game, but Rock Band owned it hard)

Also...

-If you played a 1v1 100m dash in Mario and Sonic and beat your opponent, you received a free DS lite

-I got a free copy of NBA 08 for PS3 with me on the cover

-I got Knocked Up on HD-DVD and once I fill out a 4 question survey online, Toshiba is gonna send me a free HD-DVD player

-I got 5 free Blu-Ray movies, and once I fill out a 5 question survey online, Sony is gonna send me a free PS3 and I already have one!

-I got a free copy of Singstar Rocks with the Singstar 80's expansion pack

I saw 30 minute private vendor presentations from:

Sony (Little Big Planet will change gaming forever)
Microsoft (Mass Effect=Extremely impressive)
Nintendo (The Nintendo rep confirmed that multiple characters from outside of Nintendo will be in Brawl and that there's a trade show in October where the game will be playable!)
EA (Burnout 5=GDLK, Simpsons Game=GDLK, Crysis=...you already know)
Rockstar (Midnight Club LA is gonna give NFS a run for it's money, bet it.)
Bandai-Namco (We were shown an "exclusive" Tekken 6 video which was the like 4 months old!)
THQ
LucasArts (Force Unleashed/Lego Indiana Jones=Fantastic)
Vivendi
Midway
Konami (Silent Hill 5 looked so good my eyes hurt)

Later in the same thread he actually posted pics of all the items he had gotten at the show. So Ness is most likely in, i'd give him a 90-99% chance honestly

Yeah, but he posted pics of the stuff he got, namely the copy of NBA2k8 with himself on the cover, lol. While he might be bragging about the stuff he got, I still think its credibile evidence that Ness is in brawl. I could be wrong though

I heard that sakurai will keep updating characters until he fills out all the available characters in the beginning character roster.

I don't know if this is true and i don't have a reliable source, but taking into acount of what that other guy said about ness staying in brawl,

Maybe ness could be another unlockable character.

I don't want ANY of the characters to be taken out. I'd love it if Brawl had everyone from Melee + 10-20 characters. That'd make me happy beyond reason.

That info source does seem almost assuring. I disagree with you though Ademisk...I doubt Sheik's return, and I'm not really too sad about it.

It wouldn't be the same Sheik, so it wouldn't really matter to me. I'd love it more than them not including Sheik, that would strike me as rather unfair to people who like Sheik as a character, and not a crazy high priority, super fast, needle throwing *****.

Shinryukev no matter how amazing he seems, I doubt he had any real clue when he said that every original characters are still in. No one can know yet, and obviously those who work for nintendo wouldn't want to loose their jobs so they shut the **** up.

those 3 quoted putted together or whatever link you think there is has none. its seems like a pure sophism to me. Its not cause he went to some nice game show (where smash wasn't playable!) that he knows which caracters are gonna be in.

Luccas is kind of ness, which will prolly be taken out having a better replacement (Since he is better than ness what would be the point of putting ness if its to end up as low tier or bottom tier again?). I wouldn't be surprised to see Mother 3 here after brawl's release either. I think the news was self explanatory, they highly think of not getting ness in. Or should I say they doubt about putting him in

not that I would be sad because there is 2 earthbound characters, i'd rather love it! two bees.

Dude, this isn't the brawl boards. Just a brawl thread... in... the character specific... oh crap. but anyway, people shouldn't come to the Ness Melee boards and say that Ness isn't in.

First off, it just isn't right. Secondly, it literally isn't right.

I firmly believe that Ness is too important to the Mother/EB series to take out. And people in the states don't have this firmly set love for Mother/EB that people in Japan do. The decisions are being made over there (thank god), so I don't see any reason for you to assert that Ness is not in brawl.

what the hell? it is a ness thread about brawl appearance, it can go both way. we can't talk about Ness brawl because he isn't in yet so having a ness thread in brawl is just as refutable as your stupid conclusion.

Marth and Roy where in SSBM and loved, and still they won't be back because they got replace by more recent characters who look the same, I doubt their goal is too throw any character avaible in the brawl since they planned not to have clones and only about 40 (or so rumours says)

I'd rather post something as Ness won't be there and think that way, than hope he is and end up being deceived just before the release.

ok, I see your point, but the this topic should really be moved to the brawl boards. It just doesn't belong in character specific, moreso for the types of speculative responses a thread like this gets than for the initial post itself.
