Ness Glitch?

While I was playing Slippi against a Ness, I suddenly jumped WAY higher than Marth should jump, I have no idea why this happens.

The knockback from ness's dash attack stacked and the momentum from that carried over to your jump, carrying you way higher than normal. At least that's how I interpret it.

I'll do my best to try to replicate it, but I do think what you're saying is correct.
