...Or I guess any other camper
1. How do you go against them?

I tried approaching with F airs- it might sound stupid but I get stopped by ROB's D smash most of the time (I'm talking about the extremely camping kind BTW)

Any help on how to approach and how to get him off the ground to actually deal some damage would be appreciated.

Well, should he pull out a laser, obviously you can basorb, but you can also crouch under it if unaimed (which is how it is usually used).

If you can master the PK Jump, it can really b effective on campers since it outranges a lot of stuff. Same goes for Firebounding.

Use skid, dash, and pivot mindgames if he actually waits for you to come by and dsmashes.

RARing fairs and using reverse usmashes out of dash (charged) can also be very helpful if he tries to roll behind you as you approach. Since these moves haev such long duration, they catch them right when the invicibility ends.

Should a gyro end up in front of you, still spinning, a fun thing to do is hit it with the bat. It wont look like anything will happen, but if ROB tries to approach you to hit you out of your bat lag, he probably wont realized that you just reflected his gyro and it is now considered yours and run into it
It works surprisingly well really.

I play aginast a Wolf camper, and campers can be really tough. When faced with one, you must constantly use mindgamesand always anticipate any attack they may do. If they have energy attacks (Like ROB and Wolf) and constantly use them to camp, a lag canceled PSI Magnet right in front of them may trick them into thinking they can catch you in the lag.

ROB can camp?

I've been having trouble finding vids of certain characters - about half the cast, unfortunately.

I mean, ROB's so cumbersome. When I played it briefly, it seemed like a pursuit character, comboing and comboing with a series of pokes all across the stage. But it's so bulky - it can't avoid your attacks, really. It just has Dsmash pwnage.

But if you jump and fair, like you're doing, you'll dodge that. Then he has to rely on laser or Fsmash.

Robot should be jumping, to beat you. That's his game. So if he's not doing that, rather than trying to do that, just kick his ***. I'm not seeing how simple jumps and RARs don't solve this.

Oh thanks for the help with the bat thing, I always wondered if the bat reflected projectiles in all of the attack frames since melee it was basically impossible to pull off-

Yup, batting those projectiles is WAY easier and more effective now. The only problem now is its new startup time
