Hello all I a fairly new to the board/not very good at navigating around yet so sorry if this is a repeat. I am looking for advice on egg throwing. I read the guides that were stickied but they do not say much in terms of angling the eggs. Occasionally I practically drop the egg really close and sometimes I throw them really far almost horizontally, but I do not actually no ho to throw them consistently where I want them. Any links or advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance

there is not really any tips, for me its just natural . try using the eggs alot against computors or people if you have anyone to play against. and somthing cool you can do is run of the edge but just before you go off throw an egg and you will grab the ledge and you can also ledge hop eggs

:yoshi: Eggs can be kinda tricky at first.

The length of time the B button is held determines speed and distance in any direction.

The angle of the control stick actually determines the angle of flight of the egg.

Keep in mind you can land eggs slightly behind you and below ledges with careful aiming.

To practice, try using controls during your training. For example, keep the control stick at one static angle and experiment with different lengths of time with which you press the B button. Next time, hold the B button for the same length of time, but try using different control stick angles. After you get comfortable with the basic mechanics, then you can experiment with simultaneously adjusting the two.

You could also try target test and use eggs only. Eggs just requires practice to get good with. Whatever your practice is, I'd suggest doing it in 15 minutes sessions.

I'm just going to imput what I found out about what Combo can be pulled off when you MoonWalk to UpB. MoonWalk to full jump UpB can take you far and pretty fast.

MoonWalk to UpB; make sure your ontop the opponent and DI the egg vertical and Diagnol Tilt on opponent to egg momentum cancel to Fair to Uair! It has to be done quick and should not be tried on Fox/Marth!

I landed this yesterday on my friend. It's a cool idea and very fun to try.

Give me your opinions also guys; it's not just a idea for him and to give opinion to.

And don't forget to aim the dang things where you're opponent is going (or where you don't want him to be) instead of where he is. They're not the fastest projectiles and they leave you fairly open, but they hurt (10-15% I think) and set up nicely. Zoning's the name of the game.

Deez, you're a Purdue smasher, yeah? I'll let yet ya use me for target practice sometime if ya need. See ya at the next SSBO?
