Need Help Writing a Letter of Inquiry for a Venue

Yeah, I'm trying to rent out a church hall, but they asked me to write a formal letter to inquire about it. I'm kind of stuck.

If anyone could give me some samples (or even write the letter), that would be great. If not, I need to somehow convince the church staff to let us book it. They said that they usually don't rent out the hall, but since I live in the neighborhood, they might let me do something.

That was actually the first thing that popped up when I googled "Letter of Inquiry".

Let's get away from links. Could some one type/provide me something I could use in my letter? Again, I would appreciate it greatly if you could help/provide with the intro, or even the whole thing.
