Need help with WinRAR

I'm trying to upload my custom build to Mediafire for downloading. However, every time I try to compress it into a .rar file in WinRar, SOMETHING happens and ends up causing the build to be unplayable.

I'm no savant with Winrar, and I know for a fact that the problem isn't in the build itself, can anyone help me out here please? I don't want a post on the forums showing off a custom build, but without the custom build available. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Try 7Zip. It always works for me.

I do have that installed, what's the process exactly?

Right click the folder you want to compress, go to 7zip, add to archive.

From there you can pick any type of compression, though the default zip or 7z tends to work best from my experience.
