Need Help with Kirby Hats issue!

So Ive been making hats to match my favorite kirby skins. 90% of it went well but I've run into two issues. Firstly I was trying to make the versions that actually involve completely replacing kirby (DK, Falco, Olimar, Jigglypuff and snake) as they are the only ones that really stick out when you suck someone up (I can live with some clipping from say ness's hat but hate kirby changing colors and form for say DK). I was hopping to take the model of each kirby skin that isn't shaped like kirby (Duskull and Metroid in my case) and just add a Logo to match what hat they are printed right on the main texture. This way you'd see for instance DK written on kirby's (Duskull's) butt rather then him changing into a green kirby with DK's hat. Now I tried this and it would make kirby either run on spot if I tried to move or not move at all if I sucked up say DK. I tried but couldn't figure out why I think it may have to do with the fact that both those skins are missing legs and its trying to move skeletal parts that aren't there but I have no way to be sure cause I wouldn't know how to fix this if it was the case.

So instead I decided to make kirby's that are the same color as each skin with a face that looks at least a little like what it's supposed to (I'm not even trying with the metroid he can just turn into a bluish green kirby haha). Now that went well I've made 32 hat's and most of them work except two. FitKirbyFalco02 and FitKirbyPikmin02 seem to get ignored when they are on my sd (actually in a sd.raw because I'm using dolphin). When I choose that skin (Duskull) DK, Jigglypuff and snake all work fine when I suck someone up but Falco and Olimar cause me to turn into a green kirby while wearing those hats. Its not a name issue or anything like that I've gone crazy trying to figure out why! I used the same .pac files to make the other hats which do show up no problem on every other kirby skin. Sorry you had to read through all that to get to my real issue but I'm hoping someone may be able to give me a hint to how to do it the first way again! Any help or pointers are much appreciated!
