Need help with double elim brackets

I'm running a tournament in 2 hours, and it will be double elimination. I was planning on using Tio, but allisbrawl has been down for a day and I'll need to do them by hand. I need general advice, and specific advice on the loser's bracket. If someone is sent to losers, does he stay in his region of the bracket (top, for instanct) or does he go to the bottom, is it random where the losers go?

Any advice appreciated.
