I have the Dazzle DVC 170 device. My current setup which didn't work is a 3ft USB extension cable that came with my wireless dongle attached to the Dazzle DVC 170 which connects to a S-Video Monster cable that goes into a coupler that connects to the S-Video coming out of my Gamestop Universal A/V cable thing. And the other A/V cables go into the TV so I can watch it live while I record, although this is kinda pointless as you can just use Replays, but I kinda want to do it live.
Now onto my problem. With this set and using Studio 12 the preview shows a messege up picture, blurry, pixelated, and sometimes thing on the bottom of the screen where on top. I decided it was either the Coupler or the S-Video cable, as when I disconnected it from the back of the TV so it could go straight into the Dazzle DVC 170 the picture was fine. I think its the coupler which means I'm SOL for this kinda of setup.
In conclusion would it be better if I simply got a USB extension that reach the right area? would I lose quality like it seemed I did with my other setup? The main problem here is my TV is across the room horizontally from my computer so its pretty far.
