Need help on why the R Trigger is not registering on my controller. I appreciate any help/advice you give on fixing this.

Hi - this is the Project M Help and support forum. it looks like your issue is with hardware or another smash game: theres not much i can do to help on that im afraid.
advice for troubleshooting would be as follows:
determine if it's hardware, or specific to the game you are playing (is that ultimate in your vid?). you could do this by thrying tohe controller in other games or trying other controllers.
Once you know the answer to that, you should know the avenue to go down.
