Need Help installing Brawl+ (no HBC)

Hi i have BBrawl(balanced brawl) and it works just fine as i download,extract to sd card, launch brawl, go to stage builder, loads a gecko screen thing and restarts the game in BBrawl.

i now downloaded the Brawl+ manual Sd card premade-nohbc.zip (113mb) from the download page, extraced it to a difforent 512mb sandisk non-hd sd card, but when i load brawl and go to custom stage builder it does not load gecko or codes or anything its just normal stage builder. thats the way your suppose to load it right?through the stage builder? what should i do? i read there is a few methods to install, i really like the sd temporary install gecko method that doesnt need homebrew, but someone menchined theres a snapshot method, whats that?


notes:

i have dial-up(56k-slow internet), so downloading stuff takes a night each for high size files like these.

i have the american brawl version and not PAL.

i deleted all the custom stages on my wii and the sd cards, also deleted everything on each card before i extracted.

BBrawl and Brawl+ are on separate cards, both are 512mb and one is the one that came with the wii (switch and carry) and other is a normal sandisk (it is not a SDHD)

i didnt care to download the .exe version instead of the .zip for the premade-nohbc manual sd card instalation as .exe's can be malicous and its the same as the .zip right,. and i didnt want to download the auto-updater for windows for brawl+ as it would just download what i just downloaded already right?

Well I have been trying to get Brawl+ to work this way and I have done this and it works:
Gecko's Boot.elf file in the root of the SD
Private file with the file st in it.

Inside ST i have [st_080805_0933.bin]
Which is the Custom Stage loader.
and everything else is pretty much set up as with the Homebrew Channel.
Which would have:
Codes\RSBE01
gameconfig.txt
boot.elf (Gecko OS)
Private\Wii\App\RSBE\al, pf, pfmenu2, rp, st
Inside of ST is [st_080805_0933.bin]

And mine works perfectly.

PS you can't have more than one type of hack on the SD card such as:
Having BBrawl and Brawl+ on the same SD card or it will have a loading Failure.

that didnt seem to make much sense of what i needed to do.

and it would be nice if you downloaded it too and tell me the next steps of what i need to do with it to get it to work, cus so far, just extracting it to my SD card and puttin it in my wii and goin to custom stage builder doesnt do nothin at all.

You also have to take all other custom stages off your SD card and your Wii (you can put them on a different SD card if you want.)

i said that i did delete the custom stages in my first post. it still doesnt load. and my wii version is 1.00 or w/e cus i never used wifi and updated it.

You could try this:
1. Copy the contents of the BBrawl card to a folder on your desktop
2. In that folder, replace the RSBE01.gct and the "pf" folder with the ones from Brawl+
3. Clear off your Brawl+ SD card
4. Copy the contents of that folder onto that SD card

We know the BBrawl package works, so if we can get it to load Brawl+ instead it should work too.

YAY! idk about your reply but i first followed the installation guide for brawl minus and inserted smashstack into app/st and insterted boot.elf from a zip of gecko. then it worked(i also replaced the RSBE.gtc thing but idk if i really needed to). so then brawl minus worked by doin that so with the brawl+ zip i extracted it to another SD card, put smashstack into the app/st, and replaced the boot.elf that came with it with my boot.elf from the gecko zip and it worked too! brawl minus is crazy imbalanced awesome fun(with too much hitstun) brawl plus is just a semi-balanced brawl with just better melee physics.

brawl plus already came with a smashstack thing but i didnt delete it so i have 2 smashstacks but it seem to work out fine, i dont think the already loaded one that came with it works right, or the boot.elf didnt work right. who knows.


tell brawl minus man that he needs to lower the hitstun(you can beat a guy by just up-tilting him forever) and make metaknights tornado less locking, he made the tornado worse then it was in vbrawl it seems!

ps: it was probably the stacksmash that didnt work, cus i tried that before with replacing the boot.elf with the one from balanced brawl and it still didnt work

pss: the brawl+ seems outdated though, like the SD Pack is versions less then the other packs, the site talks about brawl+ gold edition and what i downloaded and play doesnt say gold or anything other then +
