Need Help getting better

Hi i have been trying to get better at ssb4 and been playing for glory ain't helping i feel like i'm getting worst not better. I don't play against comp cause they say it gives you bad habits but i think i got habits from playing for glory since i have been loosing constantly. I don't really have friends that play ssb4 so i'm pretty screwed when it comes to learning from someone who knows how to play. So any help would be helpful or pointers.

Try Anther's Ladder. You should find good opponents to play online on there.

Anther's ladder is great when you can play online, and when on your own it's probably better to play in training mode and practice things like combos and short hops rather than play CPUs. You should also look for tournaments in your area.

No matter how hard you practice, "someday" and "maybe" aren't good enough. I need to know if you have ambitious goals and the will to accomplish them.
