This thread serves as an idea for a Competitive Super Smash Brothers for Wii U Stagelist. The purpose of a Stagelist is to generally have stages that are viable for competitive play.

Note : This is pretty much the Brawl stagelist.

Starters

•Final Destination (no variants) - This stage has been a starter in both Melee and Brawl so there is no reason for it to not be considered a viable stage. Variants would be fine however some variants have walls that extend from the edge to the blastzone making if beneficial to characters with the ability to Wall Jump.

•Battlefield (not Big Battlefield) - This stage is a great starter as it only has three platforms, it was a Starter in Melee and Brawl.

•Smashville - This stage wasn't present in Melee but it's definitely a viable stage. It's main feature is a slow platform that travels back and forth in a horizontal platform without pushing a player into the blastzone.

Counterpicks

•Delfino - The stage starts on a main platform that has platforms and takes you to a spot on Delfino Plaza for a short amount of time. The platform will appear from under the ground and carry you to another part of the island. This stage was Meta Knight's playground in Brawl due to his fearsome Sharking and Ledge stalling however the new ledge mechanics make this stage a fun counterpick.

•Lylat Cruise - a simple stage that has ledges that can be hard to sweet spot. The stage has three platforms but all close to the same horizontal level. The stage doesn't seem to tilt anymore either.

• (Debatable) Halberd - It functions just like Delfino however it has three different hazards : a canon that shoots very slow falling cannonballs, a claw that attacks a random player and a beam that hurts a player terribly. However the hazards aren't always happening, they don't occur as often as a stage such as "Gamer" which has hazards every other 5 or 10 seconds.

Any thoughts? Share them! Feedback is greatly appreciated and ideas are always great to hear.

playing it too safe, bruh.

you just basically just ported over the Brawl Stagelist. there are so many other things to test like Town & City and that Elite 4 area that could be stages, moreso then Halberd.

Elite 4 stage has tons of hazards that occur all the time, and the steel transition turns everyone into metal. The fire transition is deadly, it hurts everyone. I'll update more about the stage later.

Town and City has platforms that carry you out of the blastzone. Other than that it would be great. It's a fairly large stage too.

Town and City is super neutral. So what if platforms can carry you off, it's all timed and not random. It's only during the transition. And there's a stage discussion thread, this should likely go there.

about T&C(havent gotten around to testing just yet), do the platforms kill you if they carry you in the BZ? If so, I can see issues, otherwise it's no diffent the Ferox and Lumiose City on the 3DS, and those stages are generally accepted as Starter/CPs.

It does carry you into the blastzone. That's the only thing wrong with it.

Edit : The stage has transformations, when it swaps the platforms fly away extremely fast. I'll look up the time window between transformations soon.

Edit 2 : Seems close to 30 seconds.
