Yeah, I could use some help, I'll try to go into a bit of detail.

PK Freeze; what I need for it here is when I try to use it while someone is recovering, I get really close but I end up not hitting them with it, I've tried a bit in practice and against some friends and It's just pitiful, so how do you use this attack?

NAir (Neutral air);I just have problems a lot of the time on wondering where to land this and w hen; so lucas users, what do you use for it?

Down smash; I use it sometimes when they recover but again; how do you all use this?

And any other lucas tips would help, I'm pretty fond of him but those are the three attacks that I need to get better on, thanks.

I've got some games recorded, and you'll see some nair use in the better ones. Basically chain nairs with utilts, and utilts with nairs when they're close or aren't gonna attack. Be sure to short hop the nairs, though.

Dsmash is cool for tricking people into. Most people don't know that there are three hits until they get hit by the last one, so use this to your advantage. Basically you want someone to roll behind you, but instead get caught in it.

PK Thunder is a better edgeguard, most people will simply airdodge the freeze.

I hope that helps.

Also PK freeze shoots them up, which is generally closer to the stage. PK Thunder can make them go away from the stage.

Downsmash has two main uses:

1- to hit an unsuspecting sap on a platform below you.
2- to hit someone that spot-dodges or rolls often

Often times you'll approach a Marth and they'll ftilt or something then spot dodge, and a down smash will either launch them after they dodge or rip up their shield and push them away.

I've gotten really good at landing Freeze, but the problem for me is deciding what to do while the target is frozen. It's a pretty short duration, so I like to make it count. The majority of the time, however, I can't get there in time so I've been using thunder to do a little more damage.

I don't think you can KO a frozen target, but I could be very wrong. I do know Freeze itself can KO. I was experimenting with stacking Freeze on the target over and over last night but sadly I don't believe it resets the duration of the freeze time. If you're in range to land a second freeze, though, that might be a good choice because ~19% isn't bad. I suppose thunder would do better if you aim it well, though. The fact that it makes the target fly up doesn't help either. Of course, if they dropped down, it'd probably end up being the cheapest move in the game.

If anyone has any strategies for this, I'd definitely like to hear!

Besides that, I suggest just going in training mode and practice freezing the opponent. Get used to the range and how the trajectory is based on how you hold the control stick. This is probably painfully obvious, but it's also useful to face the opposite direction you want it to go in so you can get a different path that can be good for certain situations. Practice aiming it that way, too.

PK Freeze is only useful in FFAs (or possibly 2v2s).

I prefer d-air or b-air over n-air. D-air keeps your horizontal velocity while slowing your vertical velocity, making it great for hovering over an enemy blasting down. B-air has a huge hit box (3 hit boxes, actually) that can blast your opponent in any direction. N-air is mostly for damage, but can be easily punished.

D-smash is decent if you've been spamming too much f-smash and want a more reliable KO move. U-smash is much better for scoring kills.

I like to run into someone, short hop and Nair them and then hit them with the bat. If the Nair hits, it's usually tough to get away from this.

nair comes out very quick, has multiple hitboxes, and has low lag so it's hard to punish

up smash is a more situational move because it has SO much lag. it shouldn't be your usual KO move

i would say to rarely use the pk freeze since it rarely hits and if it hits the opponent he can quickly get out of it. for nair just try to get it close to the opponent
