So following the guide, I almost got it to work the first time, and the right cheat code was there and everything, but then i had to quit and now that I've come back to it...
The step where you go to properties>AR codes > select "global melee netplay settings"
Well this setting, 'global melee netplay settings' is nowhere to be found. It was there before and now it's a whole new list:

(the last couple that are cut off are all "player x gets # AI clone(s)"
Sorry i didn't know where to post it, and if there was already an answer to this I haven't been able to find it myself, so any help is much appreciated
