* full setup for Super Smash Bros for WiiU includes***: Wii U, copy of game (updated to current version) with all characters/stages unlocked + DLC characters + Dreamland 64, AC Adapter, (low lag) monitor, HDMI cable, GameCube adapter.
* full setup for Melee includes: Nintendo Gamecube or Gamecube-compatible Nintendo Wii, CRT TV, game disk, component cables, AC adapter, all characters and stages unlocked on memory card
* full setup for Rivals of Aether includes: computer (laptop or desktop with tower and monitor), AC adapter, GameCube adapter, copy of game
** Smash 4 Singles will feature a buster bracket (people who go 0-2 in tournament will be entered into an exclusive Smash 4 bracket for free)
***Any setup with cosmetic or game-altering MODS must remove the MODS during tournament use, with the exception of the Nairo Saga mod.

Rivals of Aether will be standard RCS Season 2 ruleset:
3 stock, 8 minutes, basic stages via Tourney Mode
Starter Stages - Fire Capitol, Rock Wall, Merchant Port, Tower of Heaven, Aethereal Gates
Counterpick Stages - Air Armada, Treetop Lounge, Blazing Hideout, Tempest Peak, Frozen Fortress, The Endless Abyss
Game 1 has players strike 1-1-1-1 after roshambo to decide who strikes first
Game 2+ has the winner strike 2 stages with the loser then picking a stage
Melee will follow the EVO ruleset: http://evo.shoryuken.com/additional-rules/
ARMS will be best two out of three matches with best two out of three games. Grand finals will be a three out of five match with two out of three games. All characters allowed, 99 second time, no items. All stages are legal with players doing Rock Paper Scissors to determine who picks stage for game 1. Loser picks stage for game 2 and on.
