DO you agree with the cut in NASA's budget?

personally i don't at all. our greatest discoveries/inventions were found because of space travel medical breakthroughs as well. i also firmly believe that the future of the human race is in space. the survival maybe.

We have problems that deserve more money than some trip to space. We need the money, and it's not like there's anything we need to accomplish right now.

Protip: Instead of cutting things that are actually inherently amazing and are relatively cheap, cut the programs that aren't needed whatsoever. Space programs innovate, educate, and progress our society.

Besides - the amount NASA needs is way less, respectively, than some of the other programs you guys have. I bet a handful of tanks going off to Iraq is about the equivalent to their total budget.

Budget cuts right after bush announces we will be returning to the moon and possibly building a moon base does not seem to make much sense. I would have to see which programs the money is going to be funneled into before making a decision on its validity. Does anyone have this information?

However, there should be no more than a temporary decrease to solve a short term problem, in my opinion, because the space program produces a lot of very benficial technologies, and helps further scientific understanding.

Sure, but the money isn't being used to pay off debt or fund education, its being funneled into iraq. Might as well invade somewhere interesting like mars, than the desert.
