maybe for a little while but I never remember seeing it... as of now, there are no smash N64 tournaments that I know of...

Theres the link to Smash 64 discussion. There may not be many tournaments outside of small ones at big smash melee/brawl tournaments, but you can play extensively online with very little to no lag.

There are biweeklies in NC that hold all three games. Ohana, a large tournament next summer, will hold all three games. Every now and then you'll find one that has SSB64 going on, but not too often, and certainly never without Brawl or Melee. However, it isn't impossible to find.

Gererally I don't think the 64 Tournament scene is very actice outside online emulators. Unless they have some way to wager money online, I don't think it's very probable for people to play for cash.

I host SSB64 at all of my tournaments, but I haven't hosted very many. We still have tournaments in BC thanks to unityole reviving the scene here and hosting events.

But yeah, SSB64 doesn't a very big competitive scene; as others have already stated, it's nearly exclusively online (emulator).
