Hey guys- sorry to start a whole thread over this; it's annoying, I know, but the Q&A thread wasn't getting me any responses. I've been playing on Galaxy 64 with keyboard for a while, but in order to become semi-competent on console, I've decided to switch to an N64 controller. I have several of these, but no adapter as of yet, and I would like to know if there exists an N64 to USB adapter that works with both Macs and Windows Vista (I play on kaillera using a library computer that runs vista; I mainly practice at home using sixtyforce on my mac). I've heard that a lot of people use this adapter

And a guy on youtube told me that it should work on my mac, because "this adapter uses the Human HID USB Standard, wich the Mac also use.", but the whole "for PC USB" thing on the front makes me think that it won't work. If some good samaritan could explain to me the options I have vis a vis an adapter, I'd appreciate it immensely.

The adapter does not come with any drivers, so presumably if the Mac can recognize the HID standard then it should work. I don't have any experience with it on Mac, so I can't be real sure.

Works great on windows. I recommend just putting windows on your mac (if its an Intel mac) so you can play online at home. Search this forum for my topic for more info, something about bootcamp or PJ64 on mac or something like that.

Yeah, I read your topic. My mac's not fast enough for Kaillera play anyways (It doesn't even run sixtyforce at sixty FPS usually); I just practice a lot of DI and combos and whatnot on it, so it'd be nice to be able to get my controller game up to acceptable levels (i.e. being able to consistently jump) before I go online.
