I got some videos on weekend. Ill be very pleased with your critiques! as like everyone, i want to improve with your advices!.

yeh, that bird give trouble to me... the lasers uggh . Tried to do a jab to Dsmash combo at the end, but it costed me dearly!. Not a wise decition.

Third fight against the doc (well in fact was the first one).
Everything was ok until i pressed a counter instead of a forwardB!!, ....after that, all went downhill!.

Don't bump your own threads by double posting. You put abit of your own crits after the video so which one do you perfer they watch and critque? I've got dial up so I usually only watch one/two and give them general advice in their playstyle.

watched 2nd video.

First stock: bad opening approach..you leaped right into his attack. I would say you countered too much but you didn't get punished for it. You could have up-tilted during the chainthrows to prolong them, put that into your game. Don't use your get up attack unless you're sure its going to get them off your back, that wasn't too good. He seemed to really put you on the defensive with his lasers and turn you into a sitting duck, don't be so afraid. A few slight mistakes but nothing too bad.

Second stock: You didn't try very hard to defend yourself in the air despite you could have f-aired him or something, 1:10 being a good example. At 1:15, your d-tilt clanked with his over-b and you paniced, don't crack at points like those, but you didn't panic once he started edge-teching so good job. At 1:40, you didn't do anything despite you having the upperhand, you just watched. You grabbed and up-tilted, good to see you know its there. Good use of the up-b since you knew he'd roll.

3rd stock: Good finishing setup and combo.

You did relatively good in this match, just a few flaws but you're on the right track, read emblem lord's approach guide if falco's lasers are troubling you too much.

I cant check the video right now, but i remember some of the moments you are telling me. U have a sharp eye.!

About the dfeensive mode, ill like you to receive some advice, here is the dilemma: Most of the time, when he attacks me, i punish him, so he tries to lure me to attack, and then start to spotdodge. So if i try to do something more, he just waits and spot and then grab or whatever. Because of that i try to wait a little longer, but sometimes is not the ebst option, what i can do?

The get up attack is something that i do like 80% of the time by mistake. I tend to CC and down tilt, but sometimes when i get hitted, i fall on the ground and im pressing A in that moment, so marth stand up doing the attack.. but is not that i want to!!. Ill have to see why im pressing the button in the wrong moment!

In the 2nd stock, yeah, i totally mistimed the Fair, in fact i did nothing =(. What i think it happened is that i totally miscalculated the distance of his jump!.


When my attack clashed with his ilussion in the corner, yeah u are right, i tried to get out from there asap, but he got me... When we are very close, that bird **** me, because of that i try to be in a proper distance... but in those mometns i dont know hwat to do! he always have faster attacks to react!.

Yes those lasers are my nightmare......ill check that thread!.

About your problem, there isn't a surefire answer to that. He tricks you into thinking hes going to always spotdodge so you expect it and wait on the attack and he doesn't..just a slight trick of his. The dancing blade will stop moments like that due to its continous attack. It'd be best to space aerials over that though, if you space perfectly, you should be able to smack him away before he reaches you after the spotdodge.

I like going into detail when I critque videos because I get sick of reading "Develop mindgames and space better"..thats what everyone says to marth videos.

now that you mention it, i used very few times the dancing blade in this matches, when in the past i have used it a little more against him and it worked! .
