Learn to jump when you laser, it's a lot safer than standing lasers. Short hop fast fall laser, short hop double laser, and full hop triple laser are all useful techs in this matchup, but don't prioritize lasering puff for minimal damage when you could gain advantageous stage positioning instead. A good time to laser against most puffs is when you respawn and have those few seconds of invincibility, puffs will usually just jump away from the stage to avoid you, so instead of trying to reach them with an aerial, you can go for laser damage then. Another good time is when you have knowledge of percents, and 1 or 2 lasers will put puff at kill percent for a certain setup.
