Hi guys I just started (as you can see) and I want to be a good member to this community. So far this site is cool. I would say perfect but there is just something with that progression system. It’s neat that this point system encourages beginners like me to experiment to get more points, despite me not liking competition or bragging. It could be considered bad because you need to do it to get the most out of it. Why can’t I respond to people’s post without point requirements yet be able to make my own? Anyway back to myself.

I am a guy who is a lone gamer (seriously though, I need friends especially on my 3ds and a couple more on ps4), I got a fair amount recently on my ps4 but only for destiny and only have one friend on Pokémon Showdown. For 3ds, I have a great amount. The reason I said I need friends is because they are never online for… some reason. I do play at least once a day. I did post my friend code on my profile but didn’t know there was a specific friend code exchange forum (yes this is my first post: http://smashboards.com/threads/dlc-and.432124/ ) I really want to be a youtuber but I don’t know how and I don’t have any friends that invited me.

I just really, really, really want to meet everybody, make friends, and get to know everybody (I most likely will be like oh yeah this guy he posted on... I just want people to feel good and will try to remember as many people as I can, friend or not.) I will definitely and swear to do my trick on other sites like this (aka miiverse.) I do like to think on my free time and will pay attention to all advance, recommendations, comments and concerns, or wisdom and advice which is usually how I remember and talk to all of you (Don’t hate me or sue me).

So in advance, Nice to meet you ;) and hope I magically get enough like to gain points to then talk to everyone, reinforcing my idea earlier in this paragraph before gradually going blind until he gives me a “cure”. Plz smack that like button talk to each other soon (I hope) and meet again. ;)

Welcome! We hope you enjoy it here.

As for the "progression system" you mentioned, it's not a progression system in the way your thinking. Your "rank" (i.e. Smash Rookie, Smash Lord, etc.) depends on the amount of posts you made and goes up after a certain amount (you reach Smash Lord at 1000 posts for example). If you buy or are gifted premium, you can change your title to something you want, like what I have.

Hope that helped, unless there's a progression system I don't know about.

Welcome to the boards!
As a piece of advice, try to avoid double posting (making another post when yours is currently the last post in a thread), as this is against the forum rules. I'll let you away with it this time, as you're new here.

This is what I mean by "double posting":
double.png

It just means two posts in a row by the same person, which we don't allow. Instead, you can edit the first post if you want to add to it. If you want to quote multiple people in a single reply, you can use the Quote feature. Click "+ Quote" under each post you want to reply to, then go to the message box, and click "Insert Quotes" to add them to your reply.

Hello and welcome to the Smashboards!
Yes, avoid double posting. Most smalelr forums that don't get a lot of movement don't mind it, but people don't like it here. And if you want friends, well, you can talk to me, if you want! My name is, well, FamilyTeam after all!
