Smash 3DS My Save Data Got Corrupted

Feel bad for me because I wasn't smart enough to turn the game off before it could reformat everything ._.

Real talk, though. Should I bother recompleting all the challenges and unlocking everything or should I just play the game as I was after I had finished all that. Some of the challenges are just a pain to do and unlocking equipment/custom moves sucks. What would you do in this situation.

Yikes, that's pretty unfortunate man, sorry to hear about that.

I'd probably just go back and do it all over again. I know the pain of losing saved data and having to replay the game again and completing tough challenges. It's really up to you if you want to go through all that again. I would probably do it again cause Smash is fun to me and some of the single player content is pretty okay.

You're not a real gamer if this has not happened to you at least once.

I encourage you to unlock everything again, it's just a game week (it's not like a national pokedex or something).
You'll feel much better when you make it, and you'll probably have better records.

This happened with my Melee data recently, but I had a backup file, and there are no custom moves in that anyway. My biggest salt is that I don't have the equipment I had before. After restarting my file it took me two days to get an attack equipment other than a single Brawn Badge. I don't even know why. And for some reason, even in my last run, it takes me forever to get the "Unlock 5 custom outfits" challenge finished. I still don't have it. Is there a specific way to get custom outfits?

I'd say to redo it again, I know it can be really discouraging but who knows maybe you'll unlock things you didn't have before. Trust me I can relate bro, this also happened to my melee data awhile back and numerous of other titles but I said screw it & got everything back plus more. And if you're really not feeling it(shulk) & have someone in your fam or a friend that also enjoys smash, let them play classic for a bit & show them how to unlock customs quickly with that home button exploit.

My PS3 has been corrupted and formatted 3 times before I caved in and got PS+ to use the cloud save feature. Each time, I've always managed to build up my save data again. By the 3rd time, throwing the system out the window was looking pretty appealing.

I say wait a bit, let the annoyance cool down, then go back and start building it up again. Luckily, Smash isn't a game where you need to make continuous progress like in an action/adventure game so you can get the stuff, then be well-off again. Try taking more precautions next time.

Huh? This happened in your sleep? How in the world does that happen?

I was just suggesting rather simple stuff like never shutting the 3DS off unless you're sure nothing is saving, not taking out the SD card unless you really need to, keeping your 3DS in a safe place while asleep, etc.

Yeah, no, I keep my 3ds in its case when I sleep. When I woke up for smash, cause that's the reason we all wake up, really, it told me the data was corrupt.
