I play against my cousin a good amount of times every week and I lose to him more than I win. So please give me advice on how to play my Pika better

use qac for more than dair, and in more than one pattern-directions, get up attack after 100% usually isn't a good idea, its just too slow, ledge hop retains its speed though, practice the skullbashes so they stall on the edge, and not go over, that burned you...

otherwise good pika, try to do things you dont normally do either if you play him alot, nice job on the tjolt around the platform to a grab :)

ok so heres advive from the pika informant. one of my main points of strategy making is realizing what the opponents habits usually are. the jiggs you played against focuses his strategy around the bair/fair. i saw a few fsmashes and the occasional dair but nothing really taking note of. that being said i noticed a few things that your opponenthad more trougle dealing with. first off was when you were crouching. he hit you less than when he when you were trying to land a tilt or airiel. stay crouched more. then after the bair or fair or pound has been used give an utilt or sh uair combo in. he has trouble with that. and the other thing was your shielding could have been timed better. shield grab that sucker and do no uthrow jiggs. please dthrow or fthrow. also sh nair out of shield against jiggs. its effective enough.

piman hit the main stuff though. hes good so listen. but, i noticed something else. you used nair out of a sh. not good against jiggs who is a floater and can punish any lag from an airiel. use your fair more and nair less. your uair was amazing.

i suggest using thunder more and get used to using it as often as you can. stealth here is a great thunderer. ive learned quite a bit from him and my game inproved dramtically ever since ive tried using thunder like him. it really is something you have to learn how to do(due to predicting oppononents position). but once you learn this, he will die so much easier for you.

edgeguarding. it may be a little difficult to edgeguard but please take a look on the various ways to. my suggestion is the triple thunder off the edge. and when he is ledgestalling with his sing, tjolt and thunder with a "wavebounce" if you will. get him thinking and try to force him off.

thats is for now.

Pika?
I might repeat what people above me have said, for I am too lazy to not put what they have.

You didn't use Thunder Jolt that much, and you should. Jigglypuff isn't the speediest of characters so you make her avoid your T-jolts, even though jigglypuff being in the air isn't the best place to have her. When you SH'd a nair, you almost always fast-fell it, giving you a lot of lag on ending. If the jiggs is shielding, SH a nair, hit the shield, and retreat back, without fastfalling. If the jiggs tries to grab, it won't work. You didn't have the best use of airdodge, and you were hit by a lot of "Combos" that you could've easily gotten out of. I guess because its jigglypuff and if she predicts the air-dodge they can get a rest, but if your opponent doesn't do it often, he won't do it the few times you do do it.

Offensively, you were pretty bad at spacing. The jigglypuff didn't seem to use a lot of tilts, so the spacing was 100% yours. Angled f-tilts and d-tilt do wonders against anybody (with a few exceptions of course). Practice power shielding, your use of shield was mediocre, and shielding is one of the most important aspects of this game. Learn it, use it, love it.

u did gud, less skullbashes imo but when you did them you don't go over the edge anymore, good...less smashes more tilts, especially when your opponents learn to DI out of dsmash...that jab combo against the edge against gaw1 was pretty funny, good job with tjolts, not spamming them but using them (esp. at a diagnol angle 45 i think) so that swords and stuff wouldn't cancel em

much improved
