I have been playing smash bros since the original and i have been playing competitively since 2005 as you all know. tripping is what made brawl a competitive fun experience and what made it top melee on multiple levels. it caused the game to become much more realistic and thought provoking.
it introduced skills that were unobtainable in melee. melee was watered down for the casuals, while brawl is strictly for the hardcore. in fact project m was only created due to the fact that the community couldn't handle the difficulty and intensity in brawl. i am beyond upset due to the fact that the vast community of players has been asking to maintain tripping yet nintendo has not listened.
it pisses me off that such a great mechanic has been left out of this game. this will cause the game to lack in quality just like melee (which was complete and utter trash i only supported it so that the community wouldn't crucify me). they also need to implement a fail jump mechanic so that after every couple jumps you fall and gain 2% damage. this would help with realism because everybody falls once in a while.
like i said i've been playing professionally since 2005 and causally since the original so i know more than anybody on this topic than anyone. i am busy so this is all i have to say since i'm getting ready for another smash circuit and evo still has my head spinning. enjoy this lack of quality smash community.
o and mango if you are reading this come at me we all know who the greatest truly is
