Just like how My Music greatly extended the functionality of the alternate musics given for levels, I believe an option like "My Menu" could further customize the aesthetics of the game's menu, which we spend a lot of time looking at.
Imagine for a moment that the menu we've been seeing so far is only the default "Brawl" flavored theme. Perhaps there were an unlockable Melee or Super Smash Bros. styled menu. Or even better, menus based on each franchise, that you'd have to unlock by clearing a certian mode with a character from their franchise. Perhaps the fonts, buttons, and music could better reflect that franchise, and like My Music, you could set frequency for each motif.
Here are some musics I thought that would fit as "menu music" for different franchises.
Smash Symbol: Brawl main theme
Mushroom: SMB3 World 1 Map Screen
DK: DKC2 Cranky's Cabin
Yoshi Egg: SMW2 Title Screen
Triforce: Fairy Fountain (Various Zelda Menu screens)
Samus' Symbol: Metroid 1 Title Screen (Unabridged, remixed hopefully)
Star Fox: Star Fox 64 mission route select
Pokeball: Pokecenter theme
Warp Star: Kirby's Aventure title screen
Earth: Earthbound Character Naming Screen
Fire Emblem: Orchestral Fire Emblem Title Screen music
W: Wario Ware Pyoro Theme
Sonic: No Way! from Sonic and Knuckles
Eggplant: ???
Foxdie: ???
Bow and Arrow: ???
Falcon: ???
Notched Leaf: ???
If Mega Man were in, I'd hope his menu theme, assuming he had one, was the MM8 Stage Select theme, I'm a sucker for that.
