Just watched the MK fights. Is this all online? That would explain alot of the mistakes I saw.

Well anyway, I just noticed you had trouble using db for recovery - used it too early at 1:04 in the first vid, and didn't use it at 3:20 in the second when it would have at least made it harder for him to edgeguard you.

Also, your dtilt kept getting dash attacked since you were using it predictably as soon as you landed. Your fairs could have been spaced better, and I think maybe you could have gone with a more defensive style... change up some of the constant aggression/wall tactic for a simple SH airdodge to keep MK guessing. I find that makes it harder for MK to control the fight with his range+priority. Keep your eyes open for any chance to punish severely, like if MK misuses his B-moves (at 1:47 in the second vid you likely had an fsmash tipper, but used DB).

Yes, but our connection was very good. Besides a few things the matches were pretty legit.

Yeah, I need to work on the DB recovery.

What do you mean a more defensive style though? I was trying to play pretty campy, which is how you play MK. If you are too defensive and let MK zone you though he will get through.

I don't see what a short hop air dodge would do.

Lol at your first stock in the first Falco video.
EL was playing patiently and you were starting to rack damage on him when a single laser shot killed you

Awesome 0-death w/ Marth though

lol, emblem's DK is... erm... well, back to marth...

Good, you picked up on the 0-death on falco.

Didnt feel like watching the rest.

Note to everyone: dont judge with wifi; it's full of input-lag regardless of the connection.

Maybe nothing, but it probably wouldn't get you into trouble imo. I suppose it's just a matter of preference.

The idea would be to DI with some unexpected spacing as you SH airdodge. MK usually tries to stay outside your attack range but close enough to strike quickly if you show an opening. A wall of fairs is probably marth's best tool to keep MK out, but if it gets to the point where they expect it and know the timing... I just find it helps to surprise them with a whiffed attempt to punish you, and then you can land to set the spacing as you see fit, which should give you a mental edge (one step ahead) in the spacing game.

You're right though. MK can charge in up close during this time and put huge pressure on you, gaining the upper hand. He's just not likely to do so if he expects to eat a tipper fair when he tries.

By a more defensive style, I just meant letting up on the wall of attacks sometimes to adjust your spacing instead.
