Alright guys, I just wanted to give this whole Blog thing a try because it looks cool, and I just kind of wanted to get some things out lol.

That aside, I just attended my last tourney in MN for an unknown amount of time. I'm starting college next week. I'm going to UND. I'm not too far from the MN border, sure, but I'm not close to the Twin Cities, and that's where everyone gets their smash on.

This tourney was super cool. Not only did a lot of MN players (new and old) show up, but we also had some visitors from IA and WI taking our money... er... participating in our tournament. I got to team with D. Disciple, and we had a blast doing some dumb Anubis stuff during doubles. Wario/Lucario is so much fun! When it came down to singles though, I choked and got destroyed. First match was Marshall aka Fatboy aka one of my favorite WI smashers. His MK is sick. I could tell he was sandbagging, (I don't know if he'd admit to it though) but even when doing that he still beat me quite handily. I played a random after that, nothing big, but then shortly after I had to face Chexr, one of the MN kings of Melee. Now he doesn't play Brawl at all, but his pressure and mindgames are out of this world. One consistent thing I've noticed about many of the Melee players that pick up our game is that they read extremely well. His pressure was absolutely ridiculous, and it was on and off at the absolute perfect times too. I kind of wrote him off, and I regret doing so. He kind of wrecked me first match (I believe high percent 2nd stock) and second match was last hit just because it was Brinstar. We all know how Wario does there.

Speaking of Brinstar, I money matched my team mate for the day, D. Disciple. He beat me at Smashville, and I decided to take him there. Let's just say I'm patient. I lost the second game because I was being slightly aggressive for no reason. There was 30 seconds on the clock. I took him there again. End of match was this: We each had two stocks, and I believe he was around 134% and I was around 110%. I got him to throw his controller, and I got everyone either laughing their *** off or mad off their rocker. No one really plays this way in MN, so it was kind of a culture shock for a few.

I also money matched YoshQ and Breezy, getting wrecked slightly in both those money matches.

Another thing I took away from this tournament is the chaingrab Wario has on Falco. My boy Hunger showed me how it's done, and after a bit I was doing it quite well. Still need to practice that though.

Anyways, I'm done talking about the tourney. Now it's time for a little love to everyone that I've smashed with these last few years.

MN smashers, I love you guys so much! (no homo for those that actually need it still :/ ) You guys really have been a wonderful crowd to hang with, and I've made some really great memories with all of you. I'm going to try and not be a stranger, but this next step in my life is kind of taking me on a wild ride, and I just need to see to it that I can ride it out.

WI, our cheesehead smash friends. You guys are so chill and amazing. When I first met you guys at ECSS, I was kinda psyched out. I looked at you guys more as gods on a pedestal instead of a smasher just like me. Now a days, I see more eye to eye with you guys. I'm not saying I'm as good as you guys by any means, (my placings today should confirm that lol) but I've grown past the whole "OMG NEW PEOPLE THAT ARE REALLY GOOD" stage lol. It sucks that I probably won't see you guys anytime soon, but hey, if we're destined to meet, we'll see each other again.

Now some more individual things.

Anybody I wanted to MM that I didn't: My bad
I was getting tired and Santa needed to get home before midnight lol.

Meta: UGH I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T GET TO PLAY MELEE WITH YOU!!! FHDAJKFDHAKAL I LOVE THE YOSHI TOO! I have a feeling we'll not be strangers since I'm going to me a Music Educator and you're going to be a Composer, so I'm not saying goodbye just yet

Sin242: I hate you, I really do, but dammit I have to be honest and say you're actually pretty good kid. At this point I think you need to develop your mindset more than skill. You've got the skill, just get that rock hard concentration and stuff so you can actually go ICs in tourney.

These are the more heartfelt shoutouts. I'll be doing actual tourney related ones in the results thread for GnG Championship / MMMB.

Much love to my MN smashers, and I'll miss you all. Keep in touch please?
