My laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6500, and whenever I turn it on, the screen fails to turn on with it (no visible physical damage, though). So far, all I know is that the left side of the screen is not as firmly attached to the base by the hinges as it should be, and I'm afraid excessive heating may have damaged one of the components in the laptop (since it was on all day!).
It may work later, but for the moment, it's not (which is a real problem).Have any of you ever had this problem, and how do you fix it? How can it be prevented.
Again, I'm not sure of the cause, so if you need any extra details on the model and hardware, ask.
Advice and help would be greatly appreciated!
