My Friends Hate Playing Me Because I always Win As Sheik

Ahahahahahahaha! I have this same exact problem! I turned off at least three people from playing with me just because I always win. I have other friends on a more competitive level that keep playing with me (and they win often enough >.>), but I also have friends who refuse to break out the Smash when I'm around.
I've gotta agree with Luma and Drephen. Find more people that play Smash more competitively or something. I know the curse. XD

They're pretty good, but the stuff I do, they just feel it's cheap.
Tried, I still win or it's too easy for them to win so it's not fun for them.

When i'm playing with friends i always beat, I sometimes let em play 2 vs me, with friendly fire on. Just something you could try. Plus you get more bragging rights if you beat em both.

I always beat my friends as Raphael in Soul Calibur (all of them), but they still try to beat me. Get friends who aren't pissy sore losers.
haha, this thread is all about what happened with my friends. I've tried all of those. Play with only B moves (i've won before...) played with my pinky fingers only... stuff like that. I'm trying to make my friends better at smash too so they don't get so ticked, but that isn't going very well either. playing different characters... after I learned advanced techniques, I beat them with all of them. the most fun was probably jiggly and just rest killing ONLY.
I'd agree with the suggestion of finding other smash friends. It just so happens that OSU holds one of the best players in oregon, so that solved my problem.

This is what was happening in my house, I guess it still is to some extent. From the opposite perspective:
Sheik is regarded as the best character in the game. This can be an easy excuse to complain about Sheik. I used to do just that. I soon learned that Sheik, while still being the best character, is still very hard to win with at top competitive levels of play. Unfortunately for me I play Link(lol) and have to understand and accept that Sheik will be my hardest fight on most stages. I guess what frustrated me the most about my friend playing Sheik, was that I was.. or thought... I had to work harder on my game to get better and that Sheik was "****ing easy" to play at any level. I don't know how serious your friends are about the game, but you need to try to get it into their heads that you need practice too regardless if they're losing or not(and my god let me tell you it is a ***** to lose 99% of the time). They need to grow up. If they're serious about the game they should appreciate the fact that they have someone better than them to practice against.
Have them read this.

I used to hate my friend for playing as Shiek but then I realized why. Cause I sucked. XD That was a long time ago but now I beat his Shiek too many times to make him change to Peach...>.> Now I hate him for Peach. >.> Stupid down smash >.>

Yeah! Thats exactly how i felt when my friend played sheik and always beat me...no matter what, no matter what character i always got my butt handed to me...

I started to own with fox, so i started to use falco.
Then I owned with falco, so I moved to peach.
Then I owned with peach, so I moved to sheik..
Then Ness.
Then Puff (Thought I would lose because I didn't know anything about smash at that point).
Then Captain Falcon.
Things kept going, and now I use everyone.

errr... try an apparently bad character such as peach or IC's. if you're good with sheik, since its so begginer friendly, it'll only take you a few hours of practice with a new character to get used to it. if they still hate you/dont wanna play with you, try this: at the beggining of the fight kill yourself until you have two or even one stock. then if u 4stock em.. that means they REALLY suck at this game and you need better gamers to play with.

That happens to me too, I play with Sheik, I win and my friends dont want to play anymore.
So, what I do is play with other characthers that are fun and that I am also good with and just have some fun. But when they say " Hey dude, I think I am better" challenge them with the real character... Sheik. Or when they challenge you to a 1 and 1 battle use your best.

The way i look at it, the character wouldnt have the moveset they have if the moves werent to be implemented.
I hate Shiek, but I don't stop playing the games because I almost always lose to her. I see what I'm doing wrong and I try to correct and still get beat the next time. So just tell them to come to smash boards so they can get semi decent.

i usually beat my friend when he plays as marth but i cant really help you there on how to give them a easier challenge but with you still winning.. umm..??play with less lives?
