So, I've been going to awa for the past couple years and this time there was a smash 4 tournament. I joined, and I only did just so I could experience the atmosphere and play. It was only 64 people, nothing big. I went in under the name red moon and played toon link. i was confident, until I was called for a match. I was getting nervous, but I beat him (captain falcon) and I was proud of myself! I just experienced my first ever tournament and I've won my first ever match! I not on to my next match a lot later than I was expecting, and I had trouble and eventually lost (fox). I think I played well, and lots of people said I wasn't bad. I went into my third match hoping that I was gonna get nevous, but I did in the third match, and lost. I'm really happy though, my results show that I'm not playing bad or worse than anyone else there. It was also fun to be around others and talk smash for once. Fatality was also there! It was great to meet and speak with him. I really want to win a tournament within the next 20 I go to so I'll keep smashin! I think the website for my bracket was challonge/smashes1v1 I was redmoon if you're interested in my results.

That sounds awesome! Playing Smash with other people is always a good time and it's cool to be surrounded by other people just trying to have fun who you know have the same interests as you. I've played in one tournament before, but it was online so it wasn't quite the same. We would get put into chatrooms together and sometimes it was just "I ban [insert stage here]", "gg", "I ban [Insert stages here]", "ggs." I mean, I ended up getting 1st in the end, so that's cool. Some people were nice and sparked up more a conversation, but it was fun and I was nervous too haha.

The local scene for Smash 4 is a little too far away from where I live for it to really be convenient, but a friend of mine really wants me to join in. I'm also a little too focused on other games and classes right now, so I don't try too hard to get out there either. Keep playing, though! You'll learn, get better, and make plenty of friends! Good luck!

If only all first tournament experiences were so nice. Glad you enjoyed it!

(Mine was so bad I'm still bitter about it. This was five years ago now.)
