 Whenever I put it into sleep mode it never wakes up. I have tried a bios update I have my keyboard and mouse set to wake up my computer and I really don't know what to do. My computer is the HP Pavilion dv2000 running Windows Vista with Amd Turion64x2 and NVIDIA graphics.

Another very easy solution to your problem is don't put your computer to sleep.
Or if this happens automatically, don't allow it to go to sleep.
This would probably be plan Z, but it could still work.

It's a laptop. I usually just put hibernate on close, but it's very helpful to have some power saving mode for when you're in class and you want to pay attention, or something.
