When I was in second grade, my neighbor gave me a dark, striped calico cat for my birthday. She was an inside cat for half her life, but then was moved outside when she was able to defend herself from the craziness that can occur outside of my house. sadly, I don't have any pictures of this cat, but I can tell you she was very beautiful
In about a year, she had kittens. Most of them were given away, and some ran away after a while, but her strongest, and nicest cat, named Oscar stayed for many years after.
This is Oscar. He was a great cat, he didn't ask for much, but what he did get, he was happy for
When Oscar was about fully grown, his mother was really sick.
MY first cat. The one that was the closest to me. Her decreasing health made her leave the house, and she wandered into the woods, and I never saw her again.
A few years later, when all we had was Oscar, we think someone left a kitten at our house on purpose(they knew our weak spot),a very dark calico. It was terrified, it took us a very long time to catch in and bring it inside, where we fed her and kept her safe. We named her Audrey, but we usually just call her "Kitty"
I am pretty sure she mated with Oscar, and soon enough, we finally had a big cat family again! My parents were not too pleased. We kept 2 and gave 1 away(who I think is still doing fine
)
Oscar eventually left, but he would come back every other day, but then...It got longer, he would stay for weeks at a time and just come back for a day or two, and eventually stopped coming back at all. But, for an outside cat, he lived at our house for a very, very long time.
^Kitty and Bob.^ Bob is already a loner by now though :/
Kitty looks really sad in these pictures, but she is a nice cat, but she has had a hard life, what with 2 close to death encounters with my dog, adn leaving her mother at an early age and stuff.
^Bob and Fiona sitting in a basket on a rainy day, lol.
^A rainy day a few years ago^
Those are all the pictures I have now, but the story goes on way after that. I still have Kitty, Bob is now gone, and pretty old
Kitty has had more kids, who have also had kids of their own. Fiona has had kids, and they have had kids. So, for a while, we had 12 cats :3
