Hello All!

So, if anyone here frequents the Project M Subreddit, you might be familiar with my post regarding whether Project M should have its own announcer or not. So, after a little thinking, and getting a new microphone, I have decided to step up to the plate and put myself out there. I would (with the approval of the community of course) would like to be the Official voice of Project M. After recording two demo reels and putting them on reddit, I seem to have (most of) the support that portion of the community. Now, I want your opinions.

(I also secretly hope the developers see this.)

So, without further or do, here's my demo reels.

Xander Mobus / Pat Cashman Impression
Dean Harrington(ish) / Xander Mobus(ish)

Please, I would appreciate constructive criticism. (Remember, there is a difference between criticism and straight up insults)
Also remember, these are not final recordings, these are just for show. I can do more voices, but these are my most "announcer-y" sounding voices.

Thank you for reading (and hopefully listening)

~MrMcKonz

I really like both demo reels, though I much prefer the top one as it's most representative of the tone of Project M whereas the bottom demo reel is more of a "classic" announcer. In terms of your voice as an announcer, try to go with a more clear sounding voice (less mumbling and echo if anything else...), be a bit louder and consistent with the "mood" of each call. Also I think you need to look at some of the PSA mods here in the custom section *cough*Ridley and Dark Samus*cough* as they could use some clearer sounding announcer voices. I'm also looking into using your announcer voice for a PM custom build I've got in mind.

After getting your voice fine-tuned I also suggest doing a complete character call for all of the playable characters ever in Smash Bros to date; having each character call separated enough so the modding community make use of your talents.

Message me. I'll gladly be your announcer :)
Yes, I do mumble a bit, but that was partially because I did it all in one take. I'll do better if I do single takes.

That's exactly what I'm planning to do once my new microphone comes in next week. Not surprising to see someone else had the same idea around the same time.

Edit: After having listened, I'd recommend not trying to sound like the previous announcers and instead give your own representation of what you think the announcer should sound like (At least until someone wants to give you direction on what they'd wanna hear). I like the updated reel more than the top one. Good job.
