Okaydokay. Thank you to ESAM, rollerking, Mister_E and all who helped with teaching me.

Heres a vid of me about 4 hours ago and from then and now I can QAC horizontally much better but nvm that. I just started with Pika competitively like today but over the last 4 days have been practicing with his aerials/combos and that stuff.

pikachu's thunder incinvibility has struck again (pun intended) (1st stock)...you do a pretty good job, but i was wondering was this an online match? cuz there was alot of downtime between both players... don't smash so much, right off the bat, it does have alot of range, but f-tilt can work just as well in some cases, while conserving your dmg/knockback for the smash. I know thunder is amazing and fun to use, but using it out of habit when the person isn't near you isn't a good thing...try to anticipate them expecting a thunder, and surprise them with something else, like a QAC -> thunder :)

Ignore that online comment, i was writing as i watched, and i saw the taunts xD...d-smash is good but once your opponents learn to DI out of it, it really becomes useless unless they don't expect it. For example, fast fall ->d-smash or uair into a ff dsmash, just mix it up.

Also, since hitstun is pretty hard to come by in brawl, use what little t-jolts give you to cover an approach that could be a FF'd fair into a grab, or an utilt, or something that leads to a combo, instead of just doing single attacks to damage. One thing to notice was the way that your opponent recovered from the ledge. he almost always did a double input QAC into a thunder, or something. so use that to your advantage, anticipate it and be ready with your own :)

nice job with that reverse fsmash on his 2nd stock, haha, that kind of stuff makes me laugh. One thing i noticed you did was jump -> thunder, so you get hit in the air, and have a little bit of time before you land, well in this instance, you could follow up with a QAC in that time between when you hit the ground and you finish your thunder...just something to keep in mind to mix it up with

don't roll so much, get spacing down, like learn the range of the getup attacks and stand just outside it, and then hit em with a fsmash or something, also dashing into attacks is good, but know you have other options too, like speedwalking or just walking...that also helps with variability. I know you said you've been practicing lately, but thats what you gotta keep doing. I would suggest checking out the combo section of Static Intense, to learn some applications of certain moves. I hope this didn't come out too mean, cuz I didn't mean for it to, just trying to help :)

IM me or PM me or something if you want a match i'd be willing

Piman's advice is solid. One thing I noticed that you did a lot was QAC into the ground... That is fine for mindgames, but only when you mix it up with other applications of QAC. Give them something to fear everytime they hear the signature QA sound. That is when QAC downs can help u get your opponent to leave themselves in a vulnerable position.

So basically, work on more uses of QAC, cause I didn't really see you use it except right into the ground.

Like Piman said, USE TILTS. They are amazing. every one of pika's is extremely usefull. Utilt is a great friend of Mr. Combo's, F-tilt is a quick good priority attack with good horizontal reach and a decent amount of knockback.

If your opponent likes to run at you and try to grab, running A, or running Usmash then I'd suggest using the Dtilt. It has very far reach, great priority and can trip leaving them vulnerable to a QAL or even just a small Fair to Utilt, etc combo.

Piman already covered the smashing so I wont go over that. All I'll say is don't get predictable. You used way too many Fsmashes/Dsmashes.

Next thing, USE Uair. It is great for tiny combos like d-throw to Utilt to Uair to U/Fair, possibly repeat. QACing right up to an opponent and canceling immediately into an elevating Uair is a great little trick that I recently started using more.

Don't use Dsmash too much, it leaves you too vulnerable for too long. A lot of the time a fast falling Fair or a Nair will do the trick.

Work on sheild grabbing. It is made of win. lol

Oh, one more thing! DO NOT use side B except to recover and ONLY if your opponent will DEFINATELY not be able to reach you before it ends. And you should really only use it into the edge, not onto the stage.

I guess the biggest thing is to continue to work on your QACing and mixing it up more ( by utilizing more of pika's moveset).

I too would be happy to work with you when I get the time. =)
