Wherever you want me to be... If you're female.
Any musicians out there? We are the select few that play the music instead of just listening. :)

Answer as many of these questions as you can, if applicable. If you don't play an instrument feel free to appreciate us. :dizzy:

What instruments(includes singing) do you play?
How long have you played each?
Your level of play? (intermediate, advanced, virtuoso etc.)
What style(s)/music genres do you play?
Play by Sheet/tabs or Ear?
Influential artists to you?
Where do you like to play?

Feel free to add more information if I missed anything.

Me:

I play the piano, violin, clarinet, guitar and sing. I played the piano(advanced) for 10 years, the violin(advanced) for 6 years, the clarinet(intermediate) for 4 years, the guitar(beginner :() for 1 year and I've been singing(intermediate?). I'll play anything, however I'm more into rock. I do some jazz and blues on the piano/clarinet too. I normaly play by ear, but if im stuck I like to use sheet music as a refrence, then change it up a bit to my needs. I really like LinkinPark and Coldplay. Their songs are easily translated onto the piano and I enjoy singing them. For now I play at home, when I get a video camera I might youtube myself. I always dreamt of making myself a one-man band, recording myself so I can "play with my self."

What instruments(includes singing) do you play?
I'm not going to include instruments that I've dabbled in, but here are the ones I've performed seriously in bands and solo with regularly --
Piano, Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Drums. In my current bands I play Guitar/Vocals for one, Drums for another, Keyboards/Piano for another. I don't currently play bass in any bands, but only because nobody's asked me to.
I've also played viola and trombone for a couple years in the past but I'm not going to pretend to know them well anymore.

How long have you played each?
Piano, almost a decade. Keyboards, Guitar, and Bass about four years; vocals and drums a couple.

Your level of play? (intermediate, advanced, virtuoso etc.)
the people i perform with consider me a virtuoso on piano, though I probably don't have enough experience in years to be called one) As for Guitar, Keyboards, I'm advanced. Intermediate in Drums, Bass, and Vocals.

What style(s)/music genres do you play?
I move around...it depends on whatever I'm called to do. Mostly alternative rock, folk, acoustic, and the "indie" sound. I also sometimes delve into soundtrack-type music.

Play by Sheet/tabs or Ear?
I play by ear for most...I can usually play all the way through a song by ear in one go. And by ear I can add my own variations. However, classical music isn't meant to be played by ear, so for those I use sheets. But in any case, most of the stuff I play are Originals.

Influential artists to you?
Matthew Bellamy, Ben Gibbard, Howard Shore...

Where do you like to play?
Wherever I can. From my room to the local club. Outdoor events are fun.

Let's see, I play Violin (7 years and counting), and sing (well, i don't know). As for grading myself, I have no idea how to rate myself, but I guess I'm advanced in violin, and intermediate in singing.

For violin I play classical music, and for singing, I guess anything. I will usually have to read a piece before playing it, and then read and use musclememory after that.
