*FIRST MUSIC SELECTION + EXPLANATION IS A SPM SPOILER ALERT, DON'T LOOK IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEAR THE END(but not quite at the end, just the lead up)*
So before i do this blog, basically i want you to know why i'm doing it. Basically, as many have liked my music selections on certain threads *coughwii-uthreadcoughcough* I thought i'd translate this in to a blog post for people who just like listening to their game music. Many of these selections i would personally like to see in SSB4, but even if not, great to bring them to the fore anyway. Chances are you've heard them already but it's fun to reminisce.
So without further ado, lets bring out not 1, not even 2, but 3 tunes today(usually i'll just bring out one but this is my first blog post so i'm making it special:

This is the theme that plays inside Count Bleck's castle in Super Paper Mario. As you wander through it's endless corridors you'll find Count Bleck's faithful minions ambush you in the hopes of taking you down. Everyone around Mario begins to disappear. Bowser and Peach tell Mario to go on as they confront O'Chunks and Mimi. Even Luigi stays behind to deal with Dimentio, but all in vain, for it seems traps have been set, and both mario's friends and their evil counterparts will die together. When Luigi is the last one to leave Mario's side, suddenly Mario finds himself with only Tippi for company, and the final part of Bleck's Castle, foreboding as ever. As he goes through the final maze, you start to wonder if there is ever and end, but it doesn't matter, because you end up loving this music so much it's almost a disappointment when you finally get to the end of the maze.

This is the song that plays when you enter Sammer's Kingdom. Sammer's Kingdom is the world closest to the void, and, indeed, you are able to see the void, huge as it is, looming in the background. Even worse is that King Sammer won't let you have the Pure Heart until you've completed is 100 man challenge, obviously to defeat 100 of his men. So Mario has no choice but to battle Sammer's men as the void gets bigger and bigger, until... Well, that would be telling.

This final tune for today has a lighter tone to it. This is the islandy theme that plays when Mario plays the mini arcade game 'Tilt Island'. It's a pretty fun game, and the objective is to try and catch as many sweet foods falling from the sky as possible, while avoiding those nasty spiky balls or the enemies. If you're lucky you might get a flower and be invincible to those obstacles, so watch out for them!
Ok i hope you enjoy this first music blog post and i'll put up some more when i feel like it :-P
Also, i'll usually stay on a theme in any given post. For instance, today i focused on Super Paper Mario. You'll just have to wait and see what pops up next time. :D
