new to this forum, joined in search of help.

i have several BRSTM files in the proper folder on my SD card
[projectm/pf/sound/strm]
properly labeled in accordance to the songs i wanted to replace on the game itself (in example, Final Destination, X05.btrsm or whatever) but instead of playing the tracks that i have converted from MP3s to brstm's, it merely accelerates the original Project M songs- it plays the default "Giga-Bowser" track just really, really fast, like somebody sped it up. it's sort of eerie- not to mention, totally not what is supposed to be happening with the files i've not only converted using Dontarion's program, but i've also used files from these forums and tried them, still the same results. am i doing something wrong ...?

okay i've called upon the services of someone much more technically savvy than i, and he "nuked" it and restored the data to the card. his final verdict was that the card isn't frag-ed in the first place, so defragmenting wasn't an option in the first place. any ideas ? even after all of this (wasted) effort, all it does is speed up the original Project M tracks instead of replacing them ! -.-

Update: i've tried defragmenting the SD Card using the second one of your downloads, Moydow ... alas, it was to no avail, the same end result of sped up original tracks.
